Are we organic?
We have a very long version of the answer to this, but the short version will have to suffice for now.
We are deeply committed to growing our produce ethically and without the use of synthetic pesticides, herbicides, fungicides or fertilizers. We also consider ourselves stewards of the land we farm on and are committed to its fertile longevity through proper land management practices.
We, along with a growing number of farmers, are making the decision not to pursue USDA Organic certification at this time. There are many sides of this position and we would enjoy discussing it with you sometime. We make no judgment against farmers that do choose to certify and in fact we patronize many of them ourselves.
